We love puppies!  That said, young puppies' immune systems take some time to develop and each dog transitions from the immunity their mother gave them to their own immunity at different rates.  That is why the Distemper combination vaccination is given/boostered at multiple times while they are growing. Depending on the protocols your vet uses, those are typically given at 8 weeks, 12 weeks and 16 weeks of age.

Boarding and/or daycare can add even more stress onto puppies' developing immune systems, which is why we recommend to delay boarding and/or daycare for your puppy with us until they have completed their Distemper combination vaccination series.  If you still wish to board your puppy prior to completion of the series, we request your veterinarian's endorsement and require you to sign a hold harmless agreement.
